I’ve always deeply connected with instrumental music. Strangely enough, sometimes more can be said with melody than with words. In Summer 2020 I resurfaced an old guitar riff and began writing. As things progressed, I felt like I was beginning to process the pain and upheaval of the past year into song form. But it didn’t seem to want to end there. The tape kept rolling and it grew to be something bigger - eventually a three-part movement. Yearn is borne out of all the grief of the past year, the spaces in-between, and the hope of all things made New. I hope that it meets you wherever you’re at.
